Software Engineer - Api & Angular

Completes the design, construction, development, testing, implementation, and technology delivery for business needs throughout VSP Global. An experienced Software Engineer is responsible for technical aspects of the entire process of agile development for moderately complex projects.

Design, code/develop, test and implement moderately complex systems.

Design solutions to solve moderately complex business problems, considering operational and functional aspects of the solution, and demonstrating an understanding of the business function.

Research and permanently resolve system problems and incidents.

Mentor Apprentice and Associate Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities

Job Specifications

Typically Has The Following Skills Or Abilities

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

4+ years of programming experience.

Proficient programming experience in one or more current programming languages.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong technical knowledge of all phases of application development including analysis and programming.

Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Prefferred Skills

Knowledge, and practical application, of the Java programming language, or equivalent Object-Oriented Programming language.

Understanding, and software development experience, using common object-oriented design patterns.

Demonstrate technical ability in Angular, CSS, npm, and Communication with RESTful web services from JavaScript

Experience with RESTful API development using Java

Configuring and constructing test scripts within an ongoing integration environment

Work in an Agile team process, collaborating closely with fellow developers

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
