Inside the Role
Within the Truck Technology Group, we shape the next generation of commercial vehicles. As part of this group, the Driver Experience team focuses on future HMI technologies. The base for us are our customer’s needs; the target is to bring innovative solutions as fast as possible to our customers. We are looking for a highly motivated Software Architect with the latest knowledge in this area.

Position offers a starting salary range of $110,500.00 - $141,500.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Work closely with the global Daimler Truck business units
  • Drive best in class HMI solutions as member of the global Driver Experience team working on the Daimler Truck Operating Systems strategy development and implementation
  • Ensure stability, flexibility and scalability at the same time
  • Bridging HMI and connectivity software functionalities
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technological concepts to define our next generation of Software Architecture as the foundation for realizing vehicle functions and features
  • Handle project responsibilities, stakeholders communication, planning software milestones and delivering on time
  • Contribute to standardizing of our future hardware and software platform
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Active usage of version management tools – what specific management tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills - oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent English skills
  • Conceptional and analytical understanding of software development
  • Experience in various programming languages with at least an expert level in one Python, C/C++, Java
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and or relevant field with 4-7 years of experience
  • Experience in collaborative software development
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, team player, and self-initiative.
  • Proficient in Agile Software Development, Agile Development, and DevOps
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety concepts
  • Knowledge of wired/wireless transmission technologies, transmission protocols, automotive Ethernet
  • German language skills
  • Master degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineering, and or relevant field
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Cyber Security
