POSITION: Social & PR Communication Specialist - Marketing Communications and Public Relations

As part of JLR's PR and Communication Team, and based at our Corporate headquarters in Mahwah, NJ, the role of ‘Social and PR Communication Specialist’, will lead social media strategy and support the greater PR and Marketing Communications Team. The main focus of this role is to oversee locally based social media activities on both paid and organic channels. Additionally, manage key project plans and support JLR marketing and PR activations.
The role is responsible for the following areas of the business: Social calendars, social asset strategy and management, copy review and posting. SEO/SEM Content Coordination. Promotional Program Support for key tent pole events including Destination Defender, Range Rover House, and other activations by overseeing budget management, reporting, coordinating communications with stake holders including, CHASE, Sponsor and Brand partners. The successful candidate will leverage their previous experience in social, general marketing communication and project management skills, to strengthen and drive efficiencies in the overall operations of the department.

- Social Media coordination
- Promotional Program Support including Destination Defender, Range Rover House, Defender Service Awards, Reporting, Budget Management, coordinating communications with other stakeholders (Chase, sponsors, brand partners)
What you will be doing:
- Support SEO/SEM activities to improve results and create efficiency and opportunities.
- Lead Social Strategy for Land Rover USA and Jaguar USA social channels, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Collaborate with both local marketing teams and Global Team to create and leverage fit for purpose social assets. Review social copy and suggest edits/sharpen. Amplify social content via both organic and paid. Report on performance and engagement and leverage findings to improve long term engagement.
- Support PR and Marketing Communication production activities, through project planning/management, budget tracking. Collaborate with stakeholders- internal depts, vendors, partners, etc to ensure awareness and feedback is being incorporated into planning.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Maintain key documents and tracking documents for the executive team, including Corp Briefing documentation, sales performance, corp messaging.
- Support in the creation of PR activations, tracking documents and executive itineraries. Liaison with internal department members, vendors and partners to support in proper planning and execution.
- Collaborate with Media Agencies and Media Partners on Paid Social Activations. Lead social strategy with partners on copy, content and messaging. Support SEO/SEM activities to improve results.
- Support in the Creation of presentations required through all planning, execution and reporting of activations and programs. This can include, but not limited to initial concepts for approval at global committee reviews, local EC meetings, Big 5 Retailer Meetings, Reporting Recaps and status updates.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience
- Vendor/supplier management experience
- Proficient knowledge of Social Media Channels and proven track record successful campaigns
- 3+ years of experience in core disciplines of communication and PR ie Marketing/Advertising/PR/Social/
- Proficiency with business and MS software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Advanced Powerpoint Presentation Skills
- Digital – agencies or in house
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills - ability to work with people at varying levels inside and outside of the organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Copy writing experience a plus.
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage various tracking systems
