JOB TITLE: Social Media Producer (Part-Time)

REPORTING TO: Social Media Producer

DEPARTMENT: Content/Marketing

LOCATION: Manhattan/Hybrid

COMPENSATION: $20/hour

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The purpose of this role is to assist the NYCFC Content & Social team in telling the story of New York City Football Club through best-in-class social media content. Working a maximum of 30 hours per week, this seasonal role will be with the company through the remainder of 2023.

If you’re passionate about the beautiful game in New York City both on and off pitch, this is a perfect opportunity to join the Club coming off a stadium announcement and back-to-back trophy-winning seasons.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Assist with documenting the New York City Football Club season on and off the pitch through best-in-class social media content.

• Able to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment.
• Follow brand guidelines specifications and ensure consistency on quality during publishing.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary around the match schedule for First and Second teams.
• Craft copy for social media posts on all Club channels.
• Write and report on the Club, players, and coaches both on and off the field.
• Create and execute ideas for social media content (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Twitter, X, YouTube)
• Assist with publishing on New York City Football Club First Team, NYCFC II, Youth and Community accounts.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Additional language/s is a plus (Portuguese or Spanish preferred)
• Sharp editorial skills with good spelling, grammar and ability to articulate brand tone
• Video editing or photo editing skills advantageous
• Must have excellent communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in proper sports writing etiquette and AP style is a plus
• Strong knowledge of social media trends and knowledge of current and emerging platforms
• Good knowledge of MLS and world football
• 2+ years experience managing pro social media channel/s
• Comfort editing imagery or video into assets for social media posts

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• New York City Football Club requires a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment, subject to exception under applicable law
• Must be able to work games scheduled which may be at night and on weekends and holidays
• Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
