Job Description
As a Social Media Student for Kellogg’s, you will gain valuable early marketing experience working on both iconic and up and coming brands as a member of the “Platforms and Culture” team.


If you live and breathe social media, this is the role for you! We’re looking for someone that has a curiosity for why things trend, who the up and coming influencers are, what new platforms and capabilities arise, and how content can be more engaging. You’ll spend most of your time researching the hottest trends, finding ways in for our brands, and creating the content yourself – but no day is the same!


Who will you work with directly? For starters, you will collaborate heavily with your manager, the Manager of Content and Culture. Beyond them, you will also be partnering with peers across the company, including but not limited to the Platforms and Culture team, as well as the Brand Marketing team.


This position is a "Student Support" assignment that runs through 12/31/2023 with the potential for an extension. You will have the option to flex your hours so that you work more during school breaks and less during the school semester.


This role is open all US locations. Preferably:


  • Battle Creek, MI: Hybrid role, mostly remote but will occasionally be required to capture content at headquarters
  • San Diego, CA: Fully remote, with ability to connect live with Manager of Content & Culture


This role also may require occasional traveling to capture content at events.


HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


  • Performance Reporting & Social Listening – You can help our team understand what content is most engaging with our audiences as well as what the perception of our brands through social listening. We already have some dashboards and practices that we can show you once you start!
  • Creating Content - This is your top priority, as you’ll be our go-to content creator for several brands. You’ll be behind the camera and keyboard, embodying our brand voices and creating the most engaging content possible. You can expect to be posting anywhere from 3-5 videos per day!
  • Social Media Management – You’ll be expected to organize and publish content, respond to comments, and ideate ways to improve our presence. Tools you can work with include Sprinklr, Microsoft programs, Canva, and CapCut.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS


Required


  • Curiosity behind new social platforms and capabilities
  • Competent in written communication & time management
  • Maintained a grade point average of 2.0 or greater
  • Social media content creation and management experience
  • Currently, a student seeking an undergraduate degree or graduate degree
  • Basic social media design/editing skills
  • Comfortable and confident being behind the camera
