Job Description

As a Social Media & Content Strategist, you’ll be an important part of advocating and activating on trends and internet culture across a number of different clients. You’ll work cross functionally to assist in the development of integrated marketing programs with a social-first voice.


A day in your life would look like this (though maybe not all these things every day!):

  • Keep your finger on the pulse of competitive and marketplace activities to identify and communicate implications for clients, ideating recommendations to energize our internal teams and clients on influencers, social commerce, memes and micro-trends, emerging communities, game changing features, brand social strategies and more
  • Briefing in and collaborating with creative teams to solve client business problems in a digital and social first way with firm knowledge of best practices and role of units across channels
  • Lead development of digital, social, and content strategies that include recommendations on targeting/segmentation, platforms, ad units, messaging, and frequency across channels, in partnership with media team members
  • Crafting influencer strategies and executing programs, including role of influencer marketing in client ecosystem, frameworks for selecting influencers, recommendation on platforms and measurement, and strategic oversight of creative
  • Strong partnership with our Analytics team, analyzing social media metrics and providing insights and recommendations to improve performance and achieve clients' KPIs.
  • Contribute to agency social media strategy and employee social engagement programs on platforms like LinkedIn, Discord, etc.
  • Work with creative, account, and strategy teams to develop impactful social content that drives engagement and business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn and others, to stay informed of the latest updates and opportunities for our clients.
  • Stay in front of the trends with the latest social media conversations, expressions, platforms, and best practices, serving as the go-to internal expert on all things social, influencer and emerging platforms, with proactive, sharp POVs to keep our clients, internal teams and prospects informed


Lead full funnel content strategy programs including freelancers and external partners.


This role may support contribute and support these programs, providing a 360-view of the content landscape, including:

  • Strategizing and ideating on-trend, forward-thinking content concepts and campaign ideas
  • Providing strategic editorial insight on content, such as articles and newsletters, and visual content, such as social posts (static and video) to ensure alignment with client approved briefs. Experience editing podcast and video scripts a plus.
  • Crafting thoughtful, comprehensive content briefs inclusive of assignment goals, audience and market insights and editorial thought starters.
  • Managing publishing workflows and publishing between multiple partners, writers, content creators and agencies


To make this great, you’ll need the following skills and attributes:

  • Mastery of social media platforms best practices, influencer marketing and content strategy
  • Capable of building client trust and enhancing Agency/Client relationship
  • Ability to read and interpret analytics reports to make strategic optimization recommendations and assess program success
  • A strong collaborator with excellent teamwork skills, able to work both independently and manage up, down and across
  • Comfortable creating and delivering presentations to senior client teams
  • Agency experience preferred, either in public relations or advertising
  • An entrepreneurial spirit that is interested in developing new ways of working in the social and digital world.
  • A cultural sponge who keeps up with the latest cultural and social trends and who is able to share these trends with the agency at large frequently.
  • Experience planning integrated marketing campaigns with stakeholder groups across agency partners and clients
  • 5-7 years experience working in social media, influencer marketing and trend-first thinking
  • Proven experience in disruptive, effective social media and content strategies
