Salary Range $50,000 to $70,000

POSITION PURPOSE
The social media content creator will collaborate with our marketing team to utilize assets created by our design team to deliver engaging content across all of our social media channels. They will also develop timelines and roadmaps for execution of marketing materials across all of NAMM platforms. The social media content creator shall possess a strong understanding of demographics and audience profiles as well as understand the strength and interaction of each social media channel. In addition, they will increase engagement across all of NAMM’s social media channels and stay relevant and active as other social media platforms are established. Also be curious, a lifelong learner, keep up with best practices, algorithm changes, and the latest tools.


KEY DUTIES

  • Continuously improve overall performance by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  • Attend in-person meetings and opportunities for capturing content as required by clients.
  • Adhere to deadlines and provide visibility to any challenges while finding solutions.
  • Build and execute social media content and strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Be responsive, communicative, and stay within brand guidelines, always representing the company’s best interests.
  • Work on paid social, PPC, and help manage agencies involved.
  • Collaborate with team to manage reputation, identify key audience and coordinate actions.
  • Submit monthly reports of performance, engagement and any insights gained.
  • Create editorial calendars, publish content according to approved schedules, and be timely in responses and engagement with community.
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content; identify opportunities for advertising to increase engagement.
  • Provide creative strategy and be a thought partner throughout the project.
  • Create, edit, publish, and share regular content (original text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
Requirements:


KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Media, Business, New Media or Public Relations preferred.
  • Graphic design and video editing experience for social media content creation.
  • Positive attitude: customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
  • Experience with the fundamentals of social media marketing, building an audience, messaging, and communicating within brand tone and style.
  • Travel to The NAMM Show may be required; additional travel may be required.
  • In-office presence required; days as determined by organizational need.
  • Excellent communication: constant attention to detail and needs of the project and team.
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist; at least 2 years’ experience.
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development and SEO preferred.
  • Experience with social media management tools such as SproutSocial, and analytics tools for reporting and intelligence.
  • Avid user of Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign, video editing software).
  • Have a clear understanding of PPC and paid social strategies.
