Social Media Content Creator Part Time

POSITION PURPOSE

The Social Media Content Creator job is to create, execute, and deliver social media-specific photo and video content. This person should be an independent, creative person who is passionate about vintage and knowledgeable about all things social media (primarily Instagram and TikTok), with a strong ability to drive engagement. They should push for growth of brand awareness by cleverly developing out the Retrospect brand story.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Updating our companys website as needed.
• Create sellable stories with our best trending items to meet sell through goals daily, weekly & monthly.
• Package and ship sold items in a timely manner.
• Follow and identify new and up-coming trends.
• Using keyword research for the purpose of optimizing content.
• Quickly identify emerging trends on TikTok and Instagram (audio, video, etc) that can benefit our customers and develop content that aligns with these trends.
• Editing and proofreading content before publication.
• Promote Retrospect's products creating intriguing and eye-catching visuals (photo & video) & copy for social media, marketing materials, website and other platforms.
• Identifying the needs of customers and staying true to brand.
• Maintaining clear and concise communication with Instagram customers to ensure proper payment of items before pick-up or ship out.
• Participate in creative briefings and brainstorms to inform monthly content calendars
• Work with the community and influencers to develop lasting relationships that will benefit our brand.
• Monitor engagement (e.g., shares and comments).
• Must know how to create Instagram Reels & TikToks.
• Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures. Must possess professional etiquette.
• Think quickly and creatively and translate those ideas into engaging pieces of digital content.

• Experience with packing and shipping. Includes FedEx and USPS.
• Ability to be flexible and assist other areas of the store when needed.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Honesty/Integrity Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
• Familiar with vintage and antique decades, descriptive terms, and materials.
• Vast knowledge of vintage and antique clothing, housewares, books, furniture, toys, music, etc.
• Familiarity with both Instagram and TikTok as well as analytics, insights, and video editing within those apps.
• Reliability The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
• Familiarity with graphic design, photography, and videography.
• Communicate Effectively Communicating ideas and information effectively, whether verbal, written, or electronically, across differing organization functions. Using Professional communication. This includes strong listening skills. Fostering collaboration at every level of the organization.
