Senior Data Center Engineer

About the opportunity:

This role is for a Senior Network / Network Security Engineer to work on project and escalation support roles for one of our largest clients.You will support their collocation and data center environments in Baltimore, Maryland, and the surrounding area (DMV) the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. This full-time role will support data center, wireless, SDWAN, and DMZ environments that challenge your skill set in routing & switching, data center, security, and wireless.

In this role, you will:

• Provide escalation support for challenging network issues.
• Lead troubleshooting escalation calls
• Engage in project engineering work (design and implementation) in Core Routing and Switching, NGFW (Cisco FirePower), and SD-WAN efforts.
• Provide strategic advice to our clients on network infrastructure initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

What you need to succeed:

• Cisco FirePower NGFW
• An engaging and outgoing client-facing manner
• SD-WAN
• Cisco routers and switches
• VXLAN
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCNP level experience with:
• US Citizenship and the ability to successfully pass a low-level drug and background investigation, including credit check

It would be nice if you also had:

• Wireless expertise
• Cisco ISE experience
