Smt Process Engineer Jobs

Key Responsibilities

• Set process parameters related to solder paste printing, placement, temperature profiles for reflow oven process, rework station, AOI, x-ray, etc.
• Program SMT equipment, including solder paste screen printersand inspect using SPI, AOI, and x-ray equipment.
• Manage manufacturing assembly lines which include product build, functional testing, and all final inspections.
• Conduct operator trainings.
• Manage quality inspection processes for PCBs and functional testing.
• Develop, test, and implement continuous improvement processes.InitiateSix-Sigma and/or other problem-solvingmethodologies.
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and provide effective solutions.Analyse defects to determine likely failure modes.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of five years in electronics manufacturing environment and has launched at least one manufacturing line.
• Bachelors’ degree in engineering.
• Familiarity with MPM solder paste printing machines.
• At least three years’working experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), possessing strong knowledge SMT related components, boardsand assembly.
• Experience with creating and running individual DFM Reviews with peers to resolve all technical issues.
• Must have experience with AOI, ICT, FCT, soldering processes/methods (e.g. wave soldering, reflow, …), burn-in testing.
