SkyJump Ground Crew The Strat (Las Vegas, NV) Description:
The ground crew operates the SkyJump store and assists guests checking in to the attraction. Sell merchandise, ride tickets, and communicate with the SkyJump Masters team on a regular basis.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Educate guests on the jump experience and answer their questions
- Keep landing pad clear, monitor the guest queue, unharnesses guests and escorts them inside after they jump
- Ensure all safety checks are completed before and after the attraction closes
- Schedule and outfit the guests for their jumps
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Operate SkyJump store, including inventory, merchandising and cash handling
- Ensure SkyJump attraction areas are maintained in a clean and attractive manner
- Smile, make eye contact, and use the guest’s name while interacting
- Maintain familiarity with all life safety systems available and emergency evacuation procedures for the tower and its attractions
- Give excellent guest service at all times and promote a fun, entertaining and exciting environment
- Initiate the greeting, welcome guests in a friendly manner, and thank them for their patronage
- Notify Jump Masters immediately of any defective merchandise, equipment or potential safety hazards
- Offer information regarding property promotions, products, services, and events taking place
- Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Foreign language skills preferred
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred
- Moderate computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred
- Ability to use the metric system (weights, lengths, etc.)
- Prior experience working in a team or group environment
- Possess excellent, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Verify right to work in the United States
- None
- Constant use of hearing and vision, stand, walk, distinguish between shades of color, and communicate via radio
- Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels
- Frequently bend, reach, communicate via paging system, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
