SRE team members solve problems at the intersection of software development and engineering operations. Our most urgent duty is service restoration, and our most important duty is automating away the causes of service degradation. The Site Reliability Engineer reports to the Director, Site Reliability Engineering supporting Therapy Brands’ internal customers including our customer care organization, our software development teams, and our cloud engineering team.

Primary Responsibilities Of This Position

• Our team supports several business units, and on-call rotations are required in this position. Our job is to make on-call incredibly boring and uneventful.
• The team surfaces technical and business metrics and builds dashboards and alerting mechanisms based on those metrics. We build observability systems with Terraform and Ansible, write custom tools with Python and C#, and instrument existing codebases.
• SRE team members triage and solve escalations from our care team. This can require debugging production services, investigating data issues, and understanding the connection between services.

Qualifications

• Experience debugging server-based applications.
• 1+ years of experience with cloud environments: AWS and Azure
• 1+ years of experience with SQL: writing basic select and update statements
• 2+ years of experience programming or scripting. C# or Python is preferred.
• Familiarity with tools including or similar to: Grafana, InfluxDB, OpenTelemetry
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS resolution
