Site Reliability Engineer Jobs

Duties: Contribute to the delivery of stable and reliable network technologies to support one of the largest networks in the world by using site reliability engineering tools and practices. Ensure networks are modern, reliable, scalable, observable and supportable. Use SCRUM practices to improve aspects of network products related to reliability related nonfunctional requirements, such as logging, monitoring, observability, performance, scalability, capacity, resiliency, etc. Perform research and discovery on industry tools and lead build versus buy analysis and initiatives. Participate in on-call rotation as an escalation contract for production issues. Collaborate with other network and software engineering teams to automate processes, reduce toil and modernize. Telecommuting permitted up to 60% of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Network & Security Engineer, Network Engineer, or related occupation . The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Network & Security Engineer, Network Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Triaging and diagnosing issues in complex distributed architectures leveraging infrastructure and application telemetry; Infrastructure automation technologies, including: REST, Terraform and Ansible; Large-scale enterprise network topologies, including: Network Security, WAN and LAN; Application performance management technologies, including: Prometheus, AppDynamics and Riverbed; Observability, monitoring and visualization tools, including: Grafana, DataDog and ThousandEyes; Load-balancers; Routing; Cloud; and Python.
Job Location: 575 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 60% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $180,000 .00-$200,000.00 per year.
