Role Overview
Fisker is in search of a Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer, reporting to the Associate Director of DevOps, Digital Product & Edge Computing, to plan, implement, and scale our many DevOps initiatives. You will have a crucial role supporting multiple Engineering teams within the Fisker org. You will contribute directly to our web services, applications, tooling, and workflows. You will help us reach our goals of building the most secure, reliable, and performant systems that connect our vehicle, our customers, our internal users, and internal systems.
Responsibilities
  • Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Implement robust logging, monitoring and alerting, and participate in on-call shift rotations
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and proposals
  • Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute code and participate in code reviews
  • Automation of security scans, penetration tests, shift-left vulnerability scanning
  • Contribute to documentation of SRE processes
  • Troubleshoot issues and create postmortems
  • Work with web, back-end, mobile, and QA engineers from multiple teams within the organization in order to streamline our processes and drive cross-team collaboration.
  • Build custom tools and integrate 3rd party tools to empower our engineers and improve productivity
  • Ensure the highest level of security in all cloud systems
  • Mentor team members in SRE / DevOps concepts, tools, and processes
  • Design, provision, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and resources
Qualifications
  • Collaborative, team player attitude
  • Experience with high traffic, high availability services
  • Experience with strict security requirements and implementation
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub actions, Gitlab, etc)
  • 5+ years of SRE / DevOps Engineer experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Self-starter, ambitious, willing to take on difficult problems.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring and alerting tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, PagerDuty, etc.)
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS)
Nice to Haves
  • Experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android)
  • Experience with automotive systems
  • Experience with artifact management (Artifactory, Nexus)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis)
  • Experience with Data Engineering, Data lakes, ETL, and associated tools/technologies
  • Experience with compliance, auditing
  • Experience with SCA tools (Synopsys Blackduck)
Expected Salary Range: $60,900.00 to $169,650.00
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
