DLH Corp is actively seeking Production Shipper/Packer candidates for our VA CMOP that will be responsible for packing and shipping medical prescriptions for our nation's veterans.


Seeking full time candidates for Second Shift (1230pm - 730pm) Monday through Friday.


$18.54 per hour (+$0.75/hour 2nd shift differential) plus full benefits

Production Shipper Packer Job Responsibilities


  • Placing an address label on the package and sending the completed order to the manifesting area.
  • Scanning prescription barcodes.
  • Adding packing material to protect the contents from leakage or damage.
  • Placing patient refill documents and return address label into the package.
  • Closing and sealing the container.
  • Maintaining stock and a clean work area.
  • Placing the prescription into the proper sized mailing envelope or box.


Production Shipper Packer Candidate Qualifications


  • Minimum of 1 year work experience. Experience in warehouse, production, shipping, packing, receiving, stocking, or logistics is a plus.
  • Be able to take direction well.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds, twist, and stoop.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of citizenship or legal residency in the United States.
  • Understand the selection of appropriate type and size of containers.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.
  • Be able to understand and meet all safety standards.
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time performing repetitive motion of wrist and hands.
  • Be able to meet all regular hours and overtime hours that are required by the facility.
  • Must be 18 years old and a high school graduate or have GED.
  • Ability to move stock and/or packages from one area to another.
  • Be able to meet production/accuracy standards required by the facility.


This position is located in a secured federal building. The VA requires that all applicants


  • Must be able to pass Federal background check and drug screening. NO felony convictions.

The Director of Contracts will lead a team of contracts professionals who are a responsible for negotiation, and management of contracts for the company. The Director also supports all proposals and assures proper review and evaluation of solicitations and proposals.


  • Leads the development/updating of contract policies and coordinates the implementation while ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Works with the Vice President of Contracts to implement best practices and technology solutions.
  • Oversee the negotiation, award, coordination, administration and close-out of contracts and subcontracts.
  • Develops and prepares complex and sensitive internal and external communications.
  • Manages contracts staff to assure support to all programs during program lifecycle including the management of prime contract files, preparation/control of all modifications and correspondence with Contracting Officers.
  • Advises on approaches and documents allocability, allowability and reasonableness of costs.
  • Responsible for recruiting, retention, training, development, and motivation of the contracts team.
  • Oversees the production and filing of reports both internal and external with the development of appropriate statistical metrics.
  • Supports the Vice President of Contracts with the reviews and approval of all department templates and policies including teaming and confidentiality agreements. Reviews and presents for approval all negotiated deviations from standard language.
  • Supports proposal activities by reviewing solicitations and proposals for risks and compliance issues including formulating strategies for resolution of major contractual issues.
  • Provides guidance on the identification and protection of intellectual property rights.
  • Performs additional duties, including special projects, as required.
  • Provides contractual advice and recommendations to project managers, proposal development staff and senior management, ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance.


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, government contracts, finance, law, or related field with master’s degree preferred
  • Expert in Federal procurement actions, policy, and procedures; contract administration, negotiation, administration, dispute resolution with ability to interpret complex contracting regulations and development of policies and procedures
  • Certifications such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager and Masters Certificate in Government Contracting preferred


Required Experience


  • Advanced knowledge of the FAR, and other agency supplements is essential to lead contract negotiations and procurement activities supporting Cost Reimbursable Fixed Price and T&M agreements.
  • Must have proven leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, colleagues, and staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving and multitasking skills under tight deadlines are also essential, as is the ability to work well with little supervision.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of demonstrated Contract experience in a Federal Government Contracting environment including FAR/DFARS, contract formation, interface with SBA, analysis of terms and conditions, proposal preparation, negotiations, amendments, and startups and closeouts of which five (5) or more years include management experience
  • Experience with GSA Schedules required.
