Job Description
DMC Facility Services is a fast-paced, family-owned company, seeking a Service Manager to join our team. Candidates must have a servant leadership mentality, be career-minded, have prior managerial and customer service experience, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and understand and translate customer needs and wants throughout the company.


We service Fortune 500 companies within the restaurant and retail industries. We are focused on providing the highest quality craftsmanship throughout the facilities maintenance sector, including remodels and renovations, electrical services, tile and specialty flooring services, ceiling and wall replacement, doors and hardware, exterior services, and more. The role of the Service Manager is to manage all aspects of the project lifecycle for a customer’s request through our Service Department. This includes but is not limited to, hiring, training, and investing in the continued growth of Service Department personnel, overseeing the full coordination and direction of the Service Department from inception to invoicing, qualifying all vendor partners, and building and maintaining relationships with said partners, and ensuring all work is completed to DMC quality standards,


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Qualify vendor partners and build and maintain relationships with said partners;
  • Oversee the upkeep of all Customer Work Order platforms;
  • Work with DMC Leadership to establish revenue and profitability goals for the department;
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of completed projects;
  • Ensure that all in-house technicians are performing to DMC quality standards and are properly equip with the necessary tools and equipment;
  • Oversee the full coordination of the Service Department from the customer’s request to invoicing and close-out. Update processes and policies to ensure a smoothly running department;
  • Screening, interviewing, training, and growing all office personnel and field service technicians through the Service Department to ensure they meet the culture standards of DMC and continually grow, both personally and professionally;
  • Upkeep and maintain DMC’s ERP system to ensure that all records are properly updated;
  • Oversee the purchase and maintenance of department vehicles and equipment to ensure that all resources are properly functioning;
  • Work directly with management to help to maintain efficient and effective practices within the Service Department.
  • Perform after-hours service in a shared On-Call rotation within the Service Department.


Qualifications


  • Management experience within a service and/or construction industry is preferred;
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized;
  • Servant leadership mentality;
  • Desire to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to everyday practices;
  • Desire to work within a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience with Google Business Suite.
  • Experience working within work order networks (Service Channel, Corrigo, etc.);
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially while working within a team environment;
  • Customer service experience or aptitude;
