Title: Server - Parkshore Senior Living Community on Lake Washington in Seattle

Position Summary:

We have an incredible opportunity for a Server to join our team! This is a fantastic entry-point to your culinary services career and comes, with opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate will ensure an extraordinary dining experience for our incredible Parkshore residents by providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with setting up tables and preparing food items on occasion.
  • Keep the food and beverage area organized and fully-stocked.
  • Be familiar with the menu for each meal to ensure all items are available and to answer residents' questions.
  • Assist residents with any meal service assistance they might request or require.
  • Greet guests, inform them of specials and changes, answer questions and make suggestions.
  • Process resident orders to ensure items are prepared properly and served promptly.
  • Maintain a positive, outgoing and upbeat attitude throughout service and while interacting with residents and coworkers.
  • Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years of age; if under 18, parental and school permission is required.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Willing to work cooperatively as a member of the kitchen/dining staff team and be able to respond to verbal instructions and directions.
  • Enjoy working with older adults and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • This is a non-tipped position given federal regulations prohibiting tips in senior living facilities.
