Job Description
Border Cafe/ Jose Tejas in Mt Laurel is looking for a qualified Server to join our growing team to meet the demands of our fast past, fully operational, full service restaurant. Border Cafe is a staple of the restaurant scene and has been recognized for multiple awards and recognition for quality in food and service. We are continuing to grow daily, weekly, and monthly after getting the doors open to our loyal customers. Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Take and serve food/drinks orders
  • Provide excellent customer services
  • Communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
  • Deliver checks and collect payments
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
  • Arrange table settings
  • Keep tables clean and tidy at all times
  • Greet customers and present menus
  • Make suggestions based on their preferences
Qualifications for the ideal candidate would include the following traits but not limited:
  • Experience as a Restaurant Server
  • Excellent physical condition
  • Good time-management skills
  • Active listening
  • Team player
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with any ordering information system
  • Customer-centric

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $6.50/hour, plus tips We start our servers above the tipped minimum wage, with the potential to make up to $8.50/hour, plus tips
Schedule
  • 8 hour shift

Ability To Commute/relocate
  • Mt Laurel NJ : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
