Senior Systems Engineer Jobs

I have a full time opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer in working for one of our top tier clients. This role will be in a very heavy VMware and security environment. Responsibilities:

• Work with security team to implement and manage network security systems to include antivirus, patch management, DLP and storage encryption
• Extensive management of VMware ESXi, including virtual server creation, and support of the virtual server environment
• Responsible for assisting with the planning, design, implementation, configuration and administration of security devices and/or solutions
• Monitors and maintains uptime of business and mission-critical applications in accordance with published SLAs
• Development and configuration processes that ensure a high level of performance and availability, and to optimize capacity utilization.
• Manages SQL servers, Active Directory, GPOs, patching and vulnerability scans findings remediation
• Creates and helps monitor systems that alert and escalate system performance and security incidents.
• Provides security automation and operations support for a broad range of Security related tools and technologies.
• Responsible for implementing and managing data, storage, backup, and replication technologies
• Provides detailed design documents such as Visio diagrams, device descriptions and narratives describing the operation of all systems
• Gathering relevant data to determine hardware capacity needs and make plans for capacity expansions in a proactive manner.
• Manages and maintains complex LAN, Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, and various security applications.
• Manages and leads small project teams to implement new technology infrastructure projects.
• Researching, implementing, and monitoring storage solutions that include SAN, NAS and RAID storage and server arrays that provide HA and fault tolerance.

Qualifications:

• Support and monitoring of LAN, O365, Exchange and security
• Solid knowledge of VMware, (ESXi, or other) as well as Disaster Recovery, and Active Directory.
• Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience
• Any exposure to security industry standards such as NIST 800-53, ISO27001, NIST CSF, or HITRUST a plus
