Job Description
Support Advocate National Center for Health Equity’s (ANCHE) Teammate Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Help NOW & Emergency Care Fund Lead in establishing the strategy and related programming to assist teammates with urgent non-clinical needs. Assist the SDOH Lead in designing ANCHE’s strategy and targeted interventions to improve the well-being of Advocate Health teammates .
​Will help d evelop an enterprise strategy for the Teammate Emergency Care Fund, which provide s Atrium Health (Southeast Market) Teammates ​ ​ financial assistance when they have suffered a hardship caused by catastrophic events beyond their control. Oversee operations , assur ing timely distribution of funds to eligible and approved teammates. Coordinate activities of an independent non-profit board char ged with making distribution decisions for the fund.
REMOTE POSITION
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
​ ​ Analyze the operations and strengths of the current Teammate Emergency Care Fund and develop a strategy and corresponding implementation plan to expand the reach of this fund across Advocate Health’s enterprise. ​
​ Oversee the Teammate Emergency Care Fund’s digital presence, providing revisions and updates to better socialize the fund with teammates, as merited . ​
​ ​ Support the Teammate SDOH Lead in assuring the successful operation of the independent nonprofit board charged with reviewing and recommending distributions to eligible teammates . Provide gu idance and timely updates to b oard members; Prepare accurate and timely Emergency Care Fund reports and updates for the board and for internal Advocate Health leaders . ​
​ ​ Assess and implement where prudent opportunities to coordinate the Teammate Emergency Care Fund with Help NOW.
​ ​ Serve as the ANCHE Teammate SDOH lead staff in coordinating teammate assistance programs with Advocate Health’s community relations, community health, and corporate social responsibility teammates across our enterprise, providing insights and guidance on existing and potential future community-based partnerships that can assist our teammates with non-clinical urgent needs .
​ ​ Develop and implement a n enterprise strategy to synchronize all Advocate Health teammate non-clinical social need crisis fund s and related efforts; o versee a coordinated approach for eligible Advocate Health teammates across the enterprise to access crisis assistance; p artner with Advocate Health employee giving leadership within the Community & Social Impact Division and with affiliated Advocate Health Foundation leaders holding teammate crisis funds to assure teammate donations to support teammate crisis needs are accessed on a timely basis . ​
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's Degree; Advanced Degree preferred.
Field of study may include public health, epidemiology, social work, or a related in the social or behavioral sciences
equires a minimum 2 years of direct experience addressing and improving the social drivers of health for underserved populations.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience developing and managing programs and partnerships with community-based organizations.
Demonstrated experience addressing the social drivers of health; previous work engagements addressing access to food, affordable housing, and safety for underserved populations desirable
Knowledge of current best practices in large health systems impacting non-clinical social drivers of health
Competitive candidates will possess an appreciation and understanding of the literature related to the social drivers of health, especially the impact of housing, food, and safety on overall health and well-being.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Experience in public speaking in small and large settings
Excellent communication and listening skills
Demonstrated project management skills.
