Job Summary:

As part of the Opportunity To Cash (OTC) IT Team, the Senior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will partner with business equipment manufacturing locations, business Product Owners and IT Product Analysts to analyze, define, and test application product changes. This Senior QA Analyst role will work as part of a QA Team and collaborate on business needs from a quality perspective; assess size of work, risk & impact; perform user troubleshooting & provide assistance; test software; innovate & standardize testing processes; prioritize & assess test scenarios for automation; provide ongoing support of key business systems.


The Senior QA Analyst will continue to grow the vision, standards and best practices of the QA Team. They will use their technical expertise and skills to organize and orchestrate the fulfillment of QA needs. This person will be a liaison & coordinator between global Product Owners & Developers, and QA teammates in and outside of the US. This Senior QA Analyst will grow in the knowledge of products, and be a key part of multiple Product teams, understanding the needs and articulating them to their QA teammates via daily stand-ups & conversations, shared documents, and other forms of collaboration. The role will also include fulfilling the QA team’s manual & automated testing efforts to support the Sprint & monthly Release cycles. We are looking for a highly motivated, diligent, quality-centric, customer-focused, organized team-player with industry best-practice awareness, vision, goal-setting skills, strong coordination and communication skills and Software Quality Assurance experience to contribute to a highly functional remotely located QA team. This role will ensure good communication, appropriate attention to detail, setting of standards, root-cause analysis, smooth hand-offs and timely completion of deliverables while maintaining quality records and metric status reports.


Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):

  • Limited overnight travel is required.
  • Developing and maintaining test plans, manual and automated test scripts for user interface, functionality, system and "ad-hoc testing".
  • Communicating with business users within all levels of the organization.
  • Executing regression tests, functional tests and data tests.
  • Interfacing with external vendor support service groups.
  • Working with and coordinating between geographically distributed team members, users, and customers.
  • Documenting, coaching & tracking quality assurance best-practices.
  • Developing routine tests and coordinating the testing effort.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for assigned systems.
  • Providing 2nd level support/technical expertise to help desk support personnel.
  • Understanding and building on the vision for the QA Team based on industry best-practices.
  • Reporting, tracking and determining priority of reported bugs.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS (or related IT degree) and at least 5 years of work experience in an IT role is required.


Key Skills or Competencies:

  • Understanding of the software development process.
  • Sound Knowledge of Test and Defect Management tools like ALM and Jira
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance practice as part of the development process.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance practice as part of the development process.
  • Knowledge of writing Excel Macros and Shell Scripts is desired.
  • Self-motivation, willingness to take initiative, ability to function effectively independently and in team-based situations.
  • Sound Knowledge of testing tools like Selenium, Tosca, Playwright.
  • Ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
  • Knowledge of all testing methodologies (white vs. black box test work, system vs. functional).
  • Experience with Agile practices is desired.
  • Strong background in productivity software & collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to direct projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required with good interpersonal skills, ability to express concepts and ideas with clarity.
  • Project management, time management, planning, organizational and analytical skills required.


This position requires strong analytical, organizational and interaction skills and must demonstrate the ability to build good rapport and credibility with staff and convey technical information clearly and concisely. The ability to develop trusting relationship with fellow team members/customers and possess excellent attention to detail and ability to gather objective evidence and communicate findings. Evidence of strong communication, facilitation, mentoring, consulting, meeting management, multi-tasking, organization, and prioritization skills. Certification and/or training in quality or testing is desired.

Annual Compensation Range is $75,000 to $140,000 annually. Disclaimer: This salary range is based on US national averages. Actual pay is a result of seniority/experience level, merit and geographic location where the actual work is performed.
