The Role

Common Platform Solutions (CPS) team is a central team with-in Asset Management that provides ready-to-use solutions composed of standard technology stacks, development frameworks, reusable software components and services.

Looking for a strong systems Engineer to manage Enterprise Tableau platform on the cloud.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Familiar with the Tableau Server Architecture and Tableau processes in a clustered environment
  • Develop technical and business partner facing documentation
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CICD & Automation pipelines on the Cloud
  • You have curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems
  • Willingness and desire to work on other Data Analytics platforms in the cloud such as Plotly Dash and Power BI.
  • Strong contributor and self-motivated with a collaborative work style
  • Bachelor’s degree ( Engineering Degree is very desirable ).
  • Proficient with building Tableau Workbooks against Oracle and Snowflake and has the ability analyze performance recording and troubleshoot issues: applies to Tableau Server as well.
  • AWS Certification (Any level a plus)
  • Eager to learn and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to recognize areas for automation and optimization leveraging the Tableau REST API’s.
  • Strong experience with the entire Tableau Ecosystem. This includes: TSM (v2021.1+) Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop.
  • Familiarity with the various supported Authentication security models for Tableau Server including Tableau Desktop. ie: SSO options, re-authentication on data sources, SAML, Active Directory.
  • Review and improve existing systems and collaborate with business partners
  • Data Modeling skills and experience with relational and dimension models
  • Hands-on experience in scripting the installation and configuration of Tableau Server using TSM and scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, Command, Shell. on cloud environment, preferably AWS.
  • Working closely with architecture team in terms of best practices and standards
  • 5+ years experience.
  • Experience in implementing various tableau administration activities; including monitoring, capacity management, performance optimization, reporting.
  • Solid understanding of Tableau’s Authorization & multi-site Model. ie: Projects, Groups, Workbooks, Views, Published Data Sources, content permissions & functions.
  • Supporting the scripting of Tableau Server installation, configuration, administration and maintenance along with other Data Analytics platforms
  • Working knowledge of Tableau administration, maintenance and support leveraging the TSM CLI, REST APIs, and Web Console.
  • Conduct unit tests, load tests and develop sample database queries
  • Experience with the Agile development methodology, story writing, and have used work item management tools like JIRA
  • Actively participating in activities like innovation days, code and design reviews, exploring emerging technologies etc
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as you will be addressing everyone from entry-level employees to executives
  • Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
