Title:

Senior Software Developer

Job Purpose:

We are looking for software developers to help deliver features and improvements to our Maestro system. We are mainly looking for mid- to senior-level developers, with some opportunities for early-career developers. We are not yet able to support entry-level candidates.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of front-end frameworks such as Blazor or Xamarin/Maui.

These developers would work with a local Team Lead, collaborating closely with our core team in the UK and other remote colleagues.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working directly with colleagues and stakeholders for planning and feature development.
• Incremental improvement of the quality of the system.
• Contributing code and tests to Maestro features and improving the current implementation.
• System support in appropriate time-zones.
• Acquiring deep expertise in the domain.

Qualifications and skills:

• Experience supporting live systems.
• Experience of .Net and JavaScript development.
• Understanding of distributed systems, include deployment pipelines.
• Communication with colleagues.
• Experience of automated testing.
• Experience of iterative/Agile development practice.

We are establishing a new software team based at our headquarters in Raleigh NC, expanding our original UK-based organisation.

Our goal is to grow capacity to meet new demand and to provide more local support to our largest market, the US. The software team maintains the mission-critical systems that help to make Marken a trusted supply chain partner for medical clinical trials.

Our business is global and a critical dependency for our customers, so we strongly emphasise the reliability of our systems and their support.

Raleigh is a hybrid-working location, with close collaboration with our team in the UK and remote colleagues. There may be occasional travel to other sites.
