Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist will interpret complex regulations as they apply to products, financial and other processes, practices and procedures in the assigned region. In this role, you will investigate and resolve complex compliance problems, questions or complaints received from other units of the company, customers and government regulatory agencies. You will develop strategy for proactive advocacy, assess the risk and opportunities related to regulations, influence minor changes and effect pertinent changes in the region.
Key Accountabilities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Inform and advise leaders on regulatory issues and changes that could potentially affect the business or the company's freedom to operate.
  • Provide thought leadership in Regulatory and Scientific Affairs area in the region including midterm and long term emerging issues.
  • Ensure business activities comply with regulations and laws and work with regulatory agencies to provide guidance and advice.
  • Examine current regulations and assess and prioritize emerging trends in food and feed safety and quality to determine the current and potential medium term impacts.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of animal feed and feed additives related regulatory affairs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Experienced in product registration in feed and feed additives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced in influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to make sense of complex, high quality, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

Applicant Information
The expected salary for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
