Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup and maintain high-quality, high-efficiency assembly lines in a laboratory environment
  • Support development, prototyping, and failure investigations of fiber optics and optomechanical devices
  • Building and testing complex fiber optics assemblies, optomechanical assemblies, lasers and amplifiers
  • Providing improvement strategies for existing manufacturing processes
  • Support test campaigns of optics and optoelectronics systems


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years’ experience in fiber optics process development or manufacturing, including stripping, cleaving, splicing and recoating
  • 3+ years working in engineering/scientific laboratory
  • Experience running HALT and HASS campaigns
  • Certificate or associate degree in optics, photonics, physics, or other technical discipline.
  • Project management experience in a manufacturing setting
  • 2+ years’ experience testing optical systems (free space, fiber optics, lasers)
