Network Engineer

Status: 6-12 Month / Contract to hire (W2)

Location: Onsite in Bedford, MA (Friday remote)

Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000

Randstad is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for Lantheus, a clinical pioneer in diagnostic and therapeutic products in Bedford, MA.

This Tier4 Network Engineer will be part of a small team and be a senior resource to several network-related projects. Advising on better technical solutions ranging from telecommunications implementation, data centers, firewalls, and more.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administration of the corporate firewall infrastructure
• Setup and administration of LaserJet and Zebra printers and associated print queues
• Implement networking best practices and standards throughout the infrastructure
• Plan and recommend designs to improve the existing network environment
• Provide day-to-day support for Cisco network routers, switches, Palo Alto firewalls
• Provide analysis of network capacity and health
• Create documentation (to include Visio diagrams)

Must Have Technical Requirements

• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds a plus
• 5+ years Palo Alto firewall
• Telephony/VOIP systems
• Remote access technologies (SSL, IPSec) and site-to-site VPN
• Network Skills: TCP/IP, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, IPSec VPN), Layer2/3 switching and VLAN configuration, Firewall security policy
• DNS, DHCP and IP addressing and management
• Familiar with authentication services: Radius, TACACS/TACACS+, 802.1x Zebra printers
• 5+ years design and implementation of enterprise network, firewall technologies
• Network/system monitoring and troubleshooting
• 10+ year’s hands-on technical experience, including:
• 5+ years Cisco routers, switches, wireless
• Wireless networks, controllers and access points including Cisco products
• WAN provisioning and optimization
