Job Description
The Senior Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for processing residential loan applications from origination through the loan closing. This position is responsible for producing required compliance and verification documents.


  • Assist in all other duties as assigned.
  • Prepare and stack closed Mortgage loan packets for final compliance in Mortgage Servicing after closing, assure all PCFCU loan payoffs are properly posted, and assure all loan proceeds are funded to the appropriate GLs and venders.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with fellow employees, industry vendors, and attorneys.
  • Load real estate applications into the department’s Loan Origination Software.
  • Prepare verifications and order for Loan Officers including but not limited to VOE, Title Requests, Flood Certifications, Insurance Declarations Pages, and Appraisal Requests.
  • Create and prepare Mortgage Loan Closing packages for Mortgage Loan Officers including Mortgages, loan notes, notice to cancel, note and mortgage addendums, initial escrow analysis form, and the Mortgage Loan Closing form.
  • Prepare and mail Thank You Notes as requested per the Mortgage Loan Officers.
  • Ability to perform noncomplex mathematical calculations for mortgage payment postings and/or corrections.
  • 10 years experience in Mortgage Loan Processing is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively deal with members, fellow employees, vendors, and information contacts.
  • Assist with and serve as a back-up for Mortgage Service Representatives as needed.
  • Create new or revised loan documents used within the Mortgage Department as needed.
  • Organize work flow to ensure accuracy and maximum productivity.
  • Coordinate proper maintenance, cleanliness, security of the work area.
  • Must be able to manage workload and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Answer Bell line calls assisting members and staff as needed.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail is required to ensure that the required insurance and loan documents are in the file and accurate.
  • Ability to operate standard office machines including calculator, telephone, personal computer, photocopier, fax and newer equipment as it becomes available.
  • Ability to type business correspondence including letters to borrowers and vendors requesting additional information for the loan file.
