What you'll be doing
As the Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of new product development for Class II medical devices and disposables. Your responsibilities span the full development cycle from concept to 510(k) cleared product.
The focus is electro-pneumatic devices, wearables and related accessories that improve the lives of the patients we serve.
What you will bring
- Experience in the delivery of new products to the marketplace
- Experience in biocompatibility testing and appropriate material selection preferred
- Results orientation and the desire to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a team environment.
- Demonstrable results in medical device and /or disposables development
- Must have learning agility, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience and expertise designing injection molded thermoplastic parts
- Bachelors degree required with 8+ years of medical device and/or disposables experience or Masters with 6+ years
- Strong desire to learn Bernoulli flow and its application to respiratory therapy preferred
The position is located in the Irvine facility. Hybrid work schedule with minimum of 3 days in office.
Some travel (~10%) will be required, both domestic and international.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $80,000 to $180,000, plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
