Job Summary
The SCM organization is seeking a results oriented professional to be of a highly dynamic and fast-paced Americas Regional Production Planning team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to launch a new regional team to manage regional CBU allocation. The candidate will lead a team to work collaboratively across varies functions and regions in order to align CBU sales demand, vehicle production, supplier/plant capacity, while optimizing of Trim & Option Mix. Key responsibilities include analysis of market carflows, production plans, vehicle inventories, and capacity constraints while utilizing business acumen to balance market conditions in order to influence Nissan management team trade-off decisions.
Primary Job Functions:
Primary objectives of an Americas CBU allocation process include:
  • Centralized demand consolidation for Regional CBUs
  • Centralized relationship with R62 who manages CBU allocation in Japan
  • Interacts with markets and multiple support groups on a regular basis to support data validity, value-added market intelligence, and to ensure the timely delivery of analytics.
  • Production challenges or upflex
  • Identify and coordinate issue resolution development for supplier/plant capacity constraints to satisfy market demand and maximize profit.
  • Ensure all volume, mix and constrained parts are considered and housed in a single group
  • Capacity (internal/external) OCF constraints
  • Centralize all regional demand for sourcing requests outside of the Americas.
  • Leads team to monthly carflow metrics as well as production source inputs in order to understand evolving market risk and opportunities
  • Lead trade-off decisions between Marketing & Sales and Manufacturing Production teams due to capacity constraints
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization efforts within RPP function. Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / drivers and measure performance to established metrics.
  • Provides leadership and guidance for team development, including hiring decisions.
  • System order process check to ensure market orders align with allocation
Minimum Qualifications
The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
  • Job Knowledge and Skill:
Requires excellent communication and motivational skills. Must possess the ability to analyze data compiled from a broad range of sources.
  • Experience:
10+ years of progressive professional level experience in a related field.
  • Supervisory Experience:
Two or more years as an intermediate level manager, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development. Supervised subordinates or contractors with somewhat differentiated roles. Subordinate positions carried several different titles. Functions, though similar in objective, were distinct.
  • Education:
A degree from a four-year college or equivalent related seminars, classroom training and experience.
  • Computer Skills:
Thorough computer knowledge such as word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day to day situations.
