Responsibilities
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
  • Replace broken or defective parts.
  • Complete all assigned work in a timely and professional manner, with accuracy and to established standards.
  • Responsible for taking care of designated area.
  • Uses the company Maximo program to schedule, track and log the details of all work performed.
  • Interfaces daily with Maintenance Supervisor to plan and implement work priorities.
  • Communicate and work with equipment operators, technicians, management, engineers, and vendors/contractors.
  • Must be willing to train co-workers and be willing to be trained.
  • Responsible for communicating daily shift report,
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
  • Answers and responds to equipment calls and breakdown on a daily basis.
  • Perform repairs and upgrades with hand tools and/or power tools using safe work practices.
  • Responsible for working all shutdowns, PM’s, and other tasks as they appear.
  • Conducts housekeeping activities in work area.
  • Responsible for following all safety procedures including, but not limited to all necessary safety permits.
  • Perform calibrations on equipment according to written procedure.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.
  • Basic understanding of PLC’s (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude & good work ethic
  • Must be able to work a on call schedule
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems and Drives preferred.
  • Must be able to work required OT on short notice
  • Must be able to work in team environment
  • Experience with maintenance databases preferred.
  • Multi-skilled/cross-trained in electrical/mechanical/hydraulic & pneumatic required.
  • Must be able to work 12-hr rotating shift schedule (day & night shift)
  • HS diploma or GED
  • 5 YEARS previous experience preferred, printing experience a plus
  • Lockout/Tagout and safety knowledge/training required.
