Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer

Location: Washington DC 100% REMOTE until any further notice

6 Months Contract – Possible extension

8-10 Years' Experience of Mainframe Systems Programming background is required.

• Building robust Mainframe environments
• Extensive knowledge of Mainframe Systems methodology and frameworks
• Infrastructure Engineer with a hands-on experience.
• Scripting and process Automation experience Required

The position requires advance knowledge of configurating Development and Production environments comprised of the below listed components.

• Control-M for z/OS
• MQ for z/OS
• Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision (Critical)
• Excellent attention to detail and quality work products (Critical)
• CICS TS for z/OS
• IBM System Automation for z/OS
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills (Critical)
• REXX Programming
• 5-10 years of z/OS Systems Programming experience
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Extensive knowledge of MQ Series
• Excellent time management ability. (Critical)
• DB2 for z/OS
• Ability to facilitate technical requirements gathering and design sessions
• Candidate will be leveraging their skills to automate configuration processes on the mainframe using above toolset.
• Extensive SDLC experience with some development or Systems programming experience
• Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers (Critical)
• Candidate will be supporting various project teams and their mainframe related needs on a day-to-day basis.
• CICS Webservices
• Ability to analyze and trouble-shoot Mid-tier/infrastructure issues.
• Z/OSMF - Working Knowledge of Workflows
• Collaborate and interpret business and technical needs
