Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a skilled engineer who has team based production experience with building generative AI systems specifically focused on image and video generation.

The ideal candidate will have developed, deployed, and iterated on generative AI systems in production environments with the ability to architect a greenfield solution, build the system from prototype to more complex iterations, and make data driven improvements to brownfield systems.

As a senior engineer, your role will be within the Community Member team, a cross-functional group dedicated to helping individuals find where their community is at in real-time, connect with like-minded people and discover hidden gems. This is achieved through the ongoing development of our community member interfaces, focusing on user experiences and journeys, iterative development and delivering value.

We're seeking an individual who is goal-driven, who uses industry best practices while also willing to explore unconventional approaches. The ideal candidate should also prioritize accountability and responsibility, working collaboratively within a team.

They should approach problem-solving in a systematic and iterative way, focusing on experimentation to arrive at effective solutions. Additionally, the candidate should possess a high level of motivation to contribute to a cross-functional team.

Core Responsibilities

● Build effective image generation systems that utilize a data object that contains activity data as a prompt.

● Be a subject matter expert for generative AI system domain driven software architecture and engineering

● Help to drive decisions on technology communicating the impact those decisions will have to ensure the positives and negatives are weighed effectively

● Ensure that the architecture of our systems are domain driven

● Make decisions that enables effective developer operations

● Drive best engineering practices within the team, including lean methodologies, automated testing, continuous deployment

● Help to maintain documentation of the software being developed to ensure common understanding within and outside the team

● Help with service introduction of new features to the wider business

Must have experience/skills:

● Production based experience architecting, developing, deploying, and iterating on image generation systems with the ability to architect a greenfield solution, build the system from prototype to more complex iterations, and make data driven improvements to brownfield systems

● Production experience utilizing Diffusion-based text-to-image generative models with Python as a base for image generation systems

● Production based experience developing image generative algorithms and large language models

● Production based experience architecting, developing, and deploying production Python applications

● Production experience working with MLOps pipelines

● Strong knowledge of deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI

● Experience in data processing and analysis, statistical analysis, and data visualization

● Experience working with Git in a multiple contributor environment

● Experience working with continuous integration and deployment
