Job Description


Job Title: Senior IT Auditor Location: Corporate


Department: Internal Audit


Position Summary: The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for identifying and auditing information technology and cyber security risks and opportunities.


Principal Duties:


  • Perform audits of key information technology and cyber security controls within the business as well as perform analysis of policies, procedures and process flows and development of recommendations to mitigate risks and improve efficiencies.
  • Monitor the progress of changes in the business resulting from agreement with Internal Audit recommendations.
  • Perform financial and operational audits as needed in support of the annual audit plan.
  • Consult and advise management regarding controls and efficiencies pertaining to processes, systems and application upgrades and implementations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete work papers and meet required audit plan deadlines.
  • Skillfully conduct audits of information technology and cyber security controls utilizing current audit techniques and tools available.
  • Effectively and appropriately deliver audit results.
  • Prepare formal written reports of prevailing conditions and recommendations for mitigating risks and/or improving the management of capital, people and knowledge.

Basic Requirements:


  • Audit experience in a retail environment is beneficial
  • Minimum of 1 year experience leading IT Audit Projects
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite proficiently
  • Strong knowledge of audit practices
  • Experience leading multiple IT Audit Projects at one time
  • Other professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CRISC, CGEIT, CSX-P beneficial
  • CISA, CISM or CISSP required
  • Knowledge of state of the art auditing techniques and disciplines
  • Familiarity with PCI standards and assessments
  • Strong Cyber Security experience
  • SAP environment experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience auditing for either a Big 4 CPA firm or large regional firm
