Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Frontend)

The MAP Engineering team builds and manages products designed to help eBay's analysts visualize massive, sophisticated datasets quickly and easily. We work with partners from many business units throughout the company to empower them with outstanding business analytics. The products we support include third-party tools and middleware, as well as internally-developed applications for web browsers and mobile devices. Our goal is to deliver beautiful software for exploring data, while operating efficiently and effectively so that we can quickly respond to new business requirements.

You'll be working on all of the services, tools and components that we support and will be actively involved in all aspects of development. We're a fully-remote team that collaborates with eBay partners from around the world. We highly value initiative, enthusiasm and passion for building high-quality software. The problems we are solving are sophisticated, so resourcefulness, desire to learn and openness to change are a must. We work in an agile environment with emphasis on developer empowerment and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Modeling data for relational databases and/or document stores
• Supporting third-party tools and middleware, as well as internally developed applications for web browsers and mobile devices by building responsive web application UIs
• 70% Frontend focused to 30% Backend
• Testing processes, design strategies, and writing test cases in medium to large sized projects and incorporating automated tests into CI / CD pipeline
• Collaborating with remote teams across different time zones

Qualifications

• Experience with test-driven development in JavaScript
• Experience with integration management via Git and knowledge of SQL
• Experience with writing component and/or end-to-end tests using Cypress
• Moderate to heavy Node.js experience and experience building web applications with React or Vue.js
• BS/BA or MS in Computer Science or related field plus 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Proven Frontend Engineering experience using JavaScript / TypeScript
