Job Description

Background & Purpose of the Job

This manager will be responsible for providing financial leadership and decision support for brand building activities for US Ice Cream. Primary role is to be a full business partner to the Business Unit Leadership Team and to provide decision support and financial insight to the Brand Teams. The Finance Manager will play a lead role in the development of operating plans, the monitoring of performance against objectives, the evaluation of business opportunities, Zero Based Budgeting, pricing, and cost management initiatives.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

  • Manage and develop 2- direct reports.
  • Financial lead for all business plans and updates, evaluating alternatives, challenging assumptions, and ensuring plans are aligned with brand and category strategy.
  • Ensure Marketing Budgets are appropriately maintained.
  • Provide financial counsel to Business Unit Leadership Team, Brand Directors and Brand Teams, taking a holistic view of plans and performance, and advising on action plans to meet financial objectives.
  • Utilize best practice tools to evaluate business performance, quantify business risk/opportunity profile, and contribute to the development of plans to exploit opportunities or close gaps. (Zero based budgeting, demand unit/SKU productivity, Pricing, Promotional Packs, Brand led Cost savings).
  • Business partner with marketing, sales and supply chain to align on a monthly forecast.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelors degree required with 7-10 years of relevant finance and business experience required.
  • Experience in more than core finance areas including Brand, Supply Chain, Customer & Channel Development, Planning & Analysis, Controllers preferred.
  • Decision support and Ad hoc evaluation
  • Performance Reporting & Business Planning
  • Required Competencies: Strategic Influencing, Organizational Awareness, Passion for Growth and Team Commitment.
  • Internal controls & Project Management

Pay: The pay range for this position is $135,600 to $203,300. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
