Job Description
As the Senior Director, External Communications, Digital reporting to the SVP, Communications & Brand, you will be responsible for managing, protecting, and enhancing the company’s online brand and reputation as a trusted global information services provider. This position is a key senior leadership role within the company’s communications and brand function and will work alongside an experienced global team to build out digital experiences across the company.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our digital channel strategy, including social media and multimedia channels such as video and podcasts. The responsibilities include creating the company’s first digital communications and brand strategy, including a technology strategy for the team, and leading our social- and multi-media team while working to build the right structure to deliver on the digital strategy in line with the team vision. You will work closely with our segment Marketing leaders and across the whole Comms & Brand team to maximize the use of our current channels and build new channels to enhance the value of our services.
We are looking for someone with experience in managing large-scale, enterprise organic and paid social media and digital strategy, including platforms, tools, monitoring, reporting, engagement, content and community management. The ideal candidate will also have experience with crisis communications, being able to advise on strategies for dealing with potential risks and threats to our global reputation.
About You – Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or English.
  • 10 years of global leadership experience in a digital and/or communications role.
It would be great if you also have…
  • 5 years’ experience of working with social media or web within the information services industry or a related B2B industry such as professional services.
  • Knowledge and expertise with multiple social media platforms for B2B, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, and experience using native social media platforms and associated listening, dashboarding and reporting tools.
  • Experience in conducting and using research to guide digital strategy and implementing new strategies based on findings that will enhance our reputation and market position.
  • Experience in supporting marketing and internal programs and lead on fully integrated, digital campaigns designed to drive customer loyalty as well as new demand.
What will you be doing in this role?
  • Lead the company social media strategy and planning.
  • Become key part of the Communications and Brand leadership team, leading on team programs to drive colleague engagement and commercial value.
  • Working as a trusted, strategic communications partner to multiple internal stakeholders to oversee integrated campaigns and programs that drive commercial value and build reputation.
  • Lead the Comms & Brand technology strategy.
  • Monitor industry trends for opportunities to enhance our brand and reputation, and ensure relevant new ideas and approaches are proactively incorporated into the digital programs.
  • Lead a growing digital team in developing, implementing, and advancing the company’s digital communications and brand strategy across multiple channels, including, but not limited to, oversight of social media, technology platforms, data management, podcasts, videos and customer success story program.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed. This is also a hybrid position working in the office 2-3 days a week.
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
