Team Overview
As a Senior UX Designer on the Selling Design team at eBay, you will bring native experiences to life and push the boundaries of user interface design with a combination of design aesthetic and technical know-how.
Team Role
As the primary point of contact for iOS and Android design, you’ll partner with design, product, engineering, research and content strategy to define and deliver new features and test new concepts.
Responsibilities
- Advise engineers on UI implementation standard methodologies
- Explore native design concepts to find promising directions that balance the needs of users and the business
- Collaborate daily with multiple UX designers and researchers
- Design cross-platform experiences, with a focus on mobile, that are easy to use, beautiful, and delight our users
- Develop flows, sketches, wireframes, mockups, and animations at appropriate fidelities to clearly communicate your design and interaction ideas to partners and engineers
- Build interactive prototypes to assist in user research and empower a design team
Requirements
- Thrives in an Agile development environment
- 5+ years design and prototyping experience
- Has a track record of positive relationships with product and engineering teams and proven success working collaboratively with partners, while having the will to defend design rationale and push back when appropriate to deliver the best solutions
- Experience in UI development for at least 1 platform (such as web, Android, or iOS)
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or equivalent practical experience
- In-depth understanding of Apple’s iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Android Material Design guidelines

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.
$135,200 - $205,700
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
