Summary
As a Senior C/Unix Batch Developer at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. You will use your programming and analytical skills to drive the development of healthcare administration products used, and relied upon, by millions of patients. Your role in our mission
Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell’s industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position.
  • Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
  • Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
  • Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
  • Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
  • Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.
What we're looking for
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel and clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for the design, creation and testing of programs
  • The ability to work effectively as an independent contributor and as leader on a team
  • Knowledge of relevant programming languages, design principles and the end-to-end software development life cycle
  • 6 or more years of experience programming or testing experience working with relevant programming languages, relational databases, operating systems and software

The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
