About This Role


Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist within the Personal Lending Flex Loan Risk Strategy team to help support the launch of new products (and part of the enterprise's key initiatives for '22 and '23.) The role is for a candidate with credit and/or fraud risk underwriting strategy experience in unsecured lending products (or similar analytical and technical experience), comfortable with independently undertaking analyses and delivering results in a fast-paced and changing environment. Interactions with business partners and ability to quickly adapt is a must in this exciting role.


In This Role, You Will


  • Help solve business problems that allow us to achieve goals while mitigating risks and keeping customer journey and experience at the forefront
  • Contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for credit and fraud risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Develop and modify eligibility and loan assignment strategies
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and analysis of Flex Loan risk strategy data and system capabilities
Required Qualifications, US:


  • 4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of SAS coding skills and experience
  • Knowledge of unsecured lending products
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Python and Machine Learning modeling is a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with credit policy development and change management
