As a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will manage large and more complex improvement activities or projects leveraging project management and continuous improvement tools to deliver results. You will partner with key Institute or Enterprise leaders to holistically manage CI activity and projects. You will also Instruct and coach continuous improvement and project management to all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaches and mentors Continuous Improvement Specialists leveraging advanced process improvement and project management tools.
  • Builds relationships with project teams, middle management, and senior sponsors.
  • Expands CI Model engagement within organization.
  • Researches best practices within and outside the organization.
  • Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable process improvements.
  • Leads large or complex projects leveraging advanced continuous improvement and project management tools to support Institutes, Regional Hospitals, Family Health Center, and Divisions.
  • Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related healthcare field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality tools, lean foundation elements and change management.

Languages:

  • N/A

Certifications:

  • Black Belt, ShingoBronze, or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Masters degree can take the place of certifications

Complexity of Work:

Work Experience:

  • Minimum six years business or healthcare experience or five years with Master's degree.
  • Minimum three year process improvement or project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach/coach/advise leadership at all levels regarding continuous improvement principles and practices and role of leader in a continuous improvement organization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with basic statistical analysis, CI tools and change management techniques.
  • Health care experience preferred. Ability to lead groups in building continuous improvement systems that enable ideal behaviors and results.
  • Two years or more of experience in transformation/change agent role within an organization engaged in a Lean transformation preferred.
