A Project Manager in the commercial construction industry should possess strong assertiveness and grit, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the construction process. They should be highly knowledgeable in the areas of safety, budgeting, scheduling, and problem-solving. They should also be able to manage a team of diverse personnel and ensure their tasks are completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to think on their feet and handle any unexpected challenges. This position requires an individual who is assertive, driven, and able to stay motivated in the face of adversity. Our team participates in land development for investors as well as our private portfolio so skills in this department are a bonus.

We have an in-house knowledge test to be taken at our office that is not multiple choice so experience matters and will be tested. Apply only if you feel well qualified in ground up commercial construction and elaborate renovation projects. Company utilizes Procore project management software which the candidate will be expected to learn and utilize daily.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
• Allocate resources for assigned projects
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs

Qualifications:

• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong leadership qualities and possess assertiveness is a must-have skillset
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Familiarity with construction management software
• Mandatory extensive experience in commercial construction ground up and complex renovation projects

Salary: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
