We’re seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our client, a well-established and fast-growing supply chain client, located in the Coastal Los Angeles, CA metro area. Location: Carson, CA
Hybrid Role (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Compensation Range: $125K to $150K plus bonus
Responsibilities:
- Lead off-shore BI analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their day-to-day activities.
- In collaboration with key stakeholders, you will develop and execute the overall BI strategy, to support business objectives and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand and translate their requirements into actionable BI solutions.
- Perform advanced statistical data analysis - data mining, forecasting, and predictive modeling.
- Provide training and support on self-service BI tools and capabilities.
- Utilize Power BI (and other tools) to create insightful and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that effectively communicate key metrics and trends to the organization.
- Play a key role in leveraging data and analytics with a strong focus on Microsoft Power BI, data warehouse management, ETL, and statistical data analysis.
- Design and develop robust data models, data pipelines, and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for reporting and analysis purposes.
Requirements:
- Knowledge in data build tool or similar data transformation frameworks
- Experience with ETL processes using ERP (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or Salesforce) as a source system.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration techniques (Fivetran, DBT or similar). Any experience with Google BigQuery is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience, with a strong focus on BI, data analysis, and data visualization. Tableau, QlikView or similar is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills are required. Must be able to read and write basic and complex queries.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to perform advanced data analysis using statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Familiarity with database systems and data manipulation languages (e.g., SQL), an understanding of dimensional data modeling concepts, and knowledge of data governance best practices.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Experience with data modeling tools such as (Google Big Query), DAX, and creating visually appealing reports and dashboards.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and actionable solutions.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of BI analysts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with business acumen and the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
