Job Description

Scion Staffing is excited to conduct an immediate search for a Sr. Audit Manager with public accounting and nonprofit audit experience. Our client has been ranked one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area! They have approximately 700 employees and service a highly diverse clientele, such as venture capitalists and nonprofits. This full-time leadership opportunity offers $160,000 - $175,000 yearly DOE and a robust benefits package. This position can be in San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Houston, or NYC, with a preference to be based in the SF Bay Area. This role in any of these cities would have a very flexible hybrid schedule (2 days onsite/3 days remote).


THE ROLE:


In this role, you will perform audits of nonprofit clients' financial and information systems, assessing compliance with applicable standards and guidelines and the sufficiency of internal control. The Audit Manager will oversee a team of 5, supporting up to 30 clients. The Audit Manager will lead by example and cultivate an excellent customer service-centric environment driving solid relationships with clients and their teams.


Responsibilities


  • Perform audits of information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
  • Build and manage client relationships and accounts, including driving the client experience on engagement.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and research findings regarding accounting literature trends and technical issues relevant to the client's industry.
  • Perform audits of financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency for nonprofit clients.
  • Manage and supervise the execution of external audit engagements of various nonprofit clients.
  • Work face-to-face with clients to solve accounting and business challenges creatively.


Qualifications


  • Leadership experience.
  • Nonprofit audit experience required.
  • CPA license (or CPA eligible).
  • 5+ years of current and recent financial statement public accounting audit and review experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of managing client relationships.


Compensation And Benefits
