Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team! The Senior Accountant will report to and work closely with the Accounting Manager and others in the organization to complete month end closing procedures including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures.
The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

What the role looks like:
·Prepare, upload and post journal entries and accruals. Research and resolve the proper accounting treatment for transactions relevant to assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with GAAP and established Company policy.
·Assist with the month end close process and communicate with other departments to ensure all information requirementsand reporting deadlines are met.
·Assist and participate in the monthly, quarterly and year end closing processes including certain schedules and processes for monthly and quarterly financial reporting package
·Work cross-functionally with various departments to provide financial insights and relevant reporting.
·Prepare month end close account reconciliations
·Ad hoc reporting and other responsibilities as assigned
·Assist finance management with technical accounting projects
What our ideal candidate looks like:
·Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance preferred
·5 years of public accounting and/or industry experience
·CPA desired, but not required
·Knowledge and solid experience with accounting concepts and principles
·Knowledge of cost of goods sold similar to a manufacturing environment
·Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
·Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tables
·High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and desire for continuous improvement and learning
·Strong teamwork, collaboration, flexibility and proactiveness
·Ability to evaluate and prioritize workload while meeting tight deadlines
