Job Description
The Opportunity
Under the general guidance of the Manager, Site Security, oversees Security Department operations at the assigned site. Identify and seek immediate and long-term solutions to life-safety issues. You will work onsite Monday-Friday from 3-11 pm and report to the Site Security Supervisor.
Your Impact
  • Conduct monthly updates (1:1) with each employee to discuss performance.
  • Monitor incident reports and processing TC-1 information.
  • Conduct surveillance monitoring.
  • Work as a task team leader/contributing member for projects supporting the security department and the site.
  • Resolve department and customer issues. Communicate issues/resolution to your staff.
  • Oversee a designated team of non-exempts to meet departmental, service, financial, productivity, and quality goals.
  • Support and monitor "on calls" who are working during your scheduled work time.
  • Prepare reports for both security and operational management regarding security findings/issues.
  • Develop goals with direct reports and provide appropriate coaching on an ongoing basis.
  • Complete administrative tasks – ensure all PANs, and corrective actions are consistent and accurate. Process all paperwork and follow-up.
  • Work with Human Resources and appropriate department management to offset the risks associated with employee terminations. Provide escorts out of building in potentially hostile situations.
  • Perform basic PC functions with essential software.
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop formal performance action plans and corrective actions for unsatisfactory or needs improvement employees. Track progress against the plan.
  • Manage shift security operations to assure employee well being and minimize the loss of organizational assets.
  • Become a functional expert in the operation supervised. This includes understanding how to operate all security systems, life safety/fire alarm systems and all software programs.
What You Bring
  • Minimum Experience: 2+ years. At least 1 year previous supervisory experience in a similar working environment or a combination of seasonal developmental positions with other related experience.
  • Work under stressful or emergency conditions.
  • Have a basic understanding of security principles to deliver the expected level of service to team members, guests, and vendors.
  • Minimum Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Process rapid problem resolution and escalation around a crisis or serious physical security incident or emergency situations.
  • Demonstrate customer service, focus on security, responsiveness, verbal, and written communications.
  • Be certified in First Aid and CPR within 4 weeks of being hired.
  • Build partnerships with local law enforcement and first responders
  • Work with and maintain confidential information.
