Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Operate standard office equipment and a personal computer using programs appropriate to assigned duties;
  • Maintain student and District confidentiality;
  • Knowledge of School and District rules, codes, standards, and expected student behaviors;
  • Ability to perform security, patrol, and interview/investigative tasks;
  • Build respectful relationships with students and others;
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, teachers and staff members, Law Enforcement and District personnel;
  • Follow written and oral instructions and observe District policies and procedures;
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • School and District policies on discipline, punishment, and criminal prosecution;
  • Prepare, maintain, and present required security and investigative reports, records, and documentation;
  • Skill in conflict resolution, mediation and de-escalation techniques, methods, and objectives;
  • Operate basic security equipment, including surveillance equipment, security imaging equipment, and a two-way radio;
  • Monitor and handle or remove students presenting disruptive, aggressive, or other disciplinary, law enforcement, or safety problems;
  • Skill in basic enforcement and investigative methods, techniques, and objectives;
