Security Guard Jobs

The Wayfarer San Diego is hiring a Security Guard. The Security Guard’s main function is to ensure the safety and well-being of the physical property, guests and employees. This position involves conducting a visual patrol, deterrence, observation and the reporting of incidents.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Patrol all parts of the property including hallways, stairwells, public areas, and outside / parking areas
• Respond to requests, complaints and calls for help
• Check doors and stairwells to ensure locks are secure
• Report safety concerns to General Manager and correct as needed
• Maintain communication with Front Desk through radio
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
• Complete patrol reports
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to guests.
• Escort guests and / or employees off property as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Salary Range: $20-22.00/hour
