Purpose

The role of the Security Guard is to assist in the daily duties directly related to the safety and security of The Resort at Paws Up and the guests, and team members.

The Primary Functions are:

  • Interact with guests of the resort to aid in matters including safety and security, to bolster loss prevention efforts and to offer general customer assistance.
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide assistance when necessary.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
  • Make themselves visible to deter criminal activity.
  • Patrol Resort on foot and by vehicle.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain flexible hours to accommodate guest needs, due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry; Position requires full availability including evenings, weekends, holidays or as needed.
  • Administer security programs to deter and address instances of theft, vandalism and violence against the resort and its team members and guests.
  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, and equipment.

Looking for Team Members with:

  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of world class hospitality and service
  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
  • Excellent customer relations, communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Valid Montana Guard Card
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience as a security guard/officer or relevant position
