Job Description


This exciting Scrum Master position will work closely with factory and Manufacturing IT partners to help identify, define, and develop software solutions for high-value business opportunities. As a Scrum Master, or the servant leader of the team you will help drive delivery of applications to enable Intel's IDM 2.0 journey.


You Will Be Responsible For, But Not Limited To


  • Embrace and role model servant leadership.
  • Teach, mentor, guide and coach the Delivery Team (and organization) on Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Lean principles and practices.
  • Assist Delivery Team and Product Owner with relentless and continuous improvement in processes and product delivery.
  • Support and educate the Product Owner and Delivery Team, especially with respect to refining (grooming) and managing the backlog.
  • Coaches the Delivery Team and does anything possible to help the team perform at their highest level. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and doing things like working with the Product Owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint.
  • Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating (making visible) information.
  • Help remove organizational and team impediments to agility and progress.
  • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • The Scrum Master is responsible for making sure a Scrum team lives by the values and practices of Scrum.
  • Empowers the Delivery Team and facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning or dictating the work.
  • Help the Delivery Team learn and mature so they can reduce their dependence on the ScrumMaster.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on growth and problem solving.
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum and/or agility in the organization.
  • Serve and enable the Product Owner and Delivery Team in their quest to delight customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum theory and practices are understood and enacted (even help those outside the Delivery Team understand so value can be maximized).
  • Coach the Delivery Team in self-organization and cross functionality.


Qualifications


Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.


Minimum Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


  • Demonstrated Product Owner, Program Management and Project Management of large scale cross service projects.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in software development experience as either Program Management, Product Owner or Scrum Master.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering with/or 10+ years relevant experience.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Agile Framework or Scrum.

  • Communication: Willing to clearly communicate and present progress and risks to factory and MIT management.
  • Attention to Detail: Schedules will be complex and services all must work together for successful delivery.
  • Leadership of cross-functional project teams, remote and distributed teams.
  • Creativity: Invent new ways of approaching problems and mitigating risks.
  • Proven team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to facilitates Scrum ceremonies and enforces time boxes.
  • Teamwork: Willing to develop high performing cross functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to make decisions that move the project forward.
  • Leadership and influence at the director and factory management level.
  • Analytical Skills: Willing to recognize the needs of customers and create project schedule to meet those needs.
  • Knowledge of numerous patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum Framework.
  • Embrace and role model Agile Principles.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $112,760.00-$169,240.00


  • Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
