Basic Function
Conducting innovative clinical studies in support of the business as well as to identify new measurements approaches; these will include internal capabilities as well as exploration for third part collaborations.
Major Duties

• Leverage ability to influence others and get results through working with a diverse team
• Oversees internal clinical testing to assure on-time delivery of testing and results, within timelines and budgets, and operational expertise of the internal testing center.
• Coordinates the recruitment of subjects for in-house clinical tests
• Identifies and evaluates new products for strong clinical claims programs
• Analyzes clinical data and draft study reports to support claims and innovation.
• Supports the design, initiation and/or management of a wide range of investigative studies across several brands regarding advertising support, product performance and effectiveness and feasibility of new products.
• Effectively prioritizes and manages complex projects / tasks
• Conducts internal clinical tests for claim support as well as for R&D prototype validation (VISIA/image analysis, hydration, TEWL etc)
• Coordinates external In vitro and OTC Testing (SPF and Antiperspirants)
• Helps develop and execute state-of-the-art clinical research protocols which provide solutions to each claims brief, utilizing a potential combination of different approaches as appropriate (expert grading, bioinstrumentation, image analysis and/or other).
• Manages key vendor partner relationships and work streams.
• Effectively manages change in order to deliver business objectives.
• Executes methodologies and clinical research to provide insight for development of innovative products, product claims and innovation.
• Builds and maintains robust internal and external networks to facilitate early identification of new methodologies and best-in-class clinical research.
• Ability to provide expertise on clinical studies utilizing consumer insights to link to the clinical claims.
• Forms and maintains strong collaborative relationships with cross- functional partners within R&D, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory and Franchise teams.
• Provides analysis / interpretation of descriptive statistics and basic statistical analyses

Responsibility For Control Of Expenditures

• Conduct cost effective protocols to ensure to meet with the Department’s budget. Functional Responsibility:
• Responsible for the independent execution of clinical projects and development of novelle screening methods and new initiatives

Special Requirements Of The Position

• Awareness of Regulatory issues that impact product claims
• Working knowledge of GCP and Statistics
